Enterprise Market: iOS down, Android Up; Still iOS tops

Consumer and Enterprise are two different markets. Both have different record holding in respect of mobile device OS share. Saying so, we all know android platform is the #1 in consumer market but that isn’t the case with enterprise market. There used to be one time when BlackBerry was the king in this territory, the enterprise market now belongs to Apple, but same may not be the case in upcoming years.

Good Technology which is known for such data publishing shows Q2 2014 report as iOS on top, but their percentage in the enterprise market dropped by 5% (down to 67%). On the other hand, Android’s plunge up the same amount – 5% (up to 32%). Microsoft’s Windows Phone is staying at 1%. BlackBerry is not included because their devices use their own servers for email access, Good Technology can’t access their numbers.
